Important GDPR Compliance Update

We are currently working on GDPR compliance for our plugins and services.

GDPR compliance

As you may already know, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) deadline is on May 25, 2018.

We are currently working on compliance within our own website as well as the plugins and services we offer. All of our plugins and services will be GDPR compliant before the deadline is met. This is a priority for us and for our customers at the moment.

GDPR is a new regulation put in place as a right to privacy for EU citizens and it makes sense. We hope to see this regulation implemented worldwide as a requirement for all countries in the future so that users are aware of their data use and feel secure with their information being used.

Thank you for being a Tribulant Software customer. We are happy to provide you with privacy as well as protection for your own users when you are using our plugins. We hope that this update helps to put your mind at ease that we are working on this.

More details on GDPR will follow with updates on some of our plugins with tools included.

We will release an update for the Newsletter plugin shortly to make GDPR compliance easier.

In the meanwhile, you can reinvite your subscribers if you want to do it right now. Create a new mailing list under Newsletters > Mailing List/s. Then create a newsletter under Newsletters > Create Newsletter and put a [newsletters_subscribe_link list=X] shortcode into your newsletter which subscribers have to click to subscribe to the new list.

We’ll have the update out soon though to make the process above easier and also some settings for subscribers to delete their account, tick a checkbox when subscribing to give consent, etc.
